In My Mailbox ♡: Week 57

What is In My Mailbox?
In My Mailbox was started in November of 2008. What it all came down to was this: I get books to read and then ultimately share my thoughts about with my readers. As much as I want to, I can’t possibly read every book I receive. Yet, I still wanted a way to feature those books on the blog, even though it might not be in the form of a review. Problem solved!

Week 57: Here’s what’s in my mailbox this week!

♡ GIVEN/BOUGHT/SWAPPED/LIBRARY:

1. “Loss (Horsemen Quartet #3)” by Jackie Morse Kessler – bought

2. “Monstrous Beauty” by Elizabeth Fama – via ARC swap (thanks!)

3. “This Is Not a Test” by Courtney Summers – via Librarything/St. Martin’s Griffin (thanks!)

4. “Once (Eve #2)” by Anna Carey – via HarperTeen (thanks!)

5. “Tiger Lily” by Jodi Lynn Anderson – via HarperTeen (thanks!)

6. “Something Strange & Deadly” by Susan Dennard – via HarperTeen (thanks!)

7. “Below Stairs: The Classic Maid’s Memoir That Inspired “Upstairs, Downstairs” and “Downton Abbey” by Margaret Powell – library

My huge thanks to librarything, HarperTeen, Macmillan, and my ARC swap partners this week – you guys are all awesome, because this is an awesome haul! I can’t wait to get started on “Tiger Lily”, “Once”, “Monstrous Beauty” and “Something Strange and Deadly”. I’ve finished “Loss” and “This Is Not A Test” and they were both AWESOME. Really wonderful books this week and I’m thankful for them. The library book was more of an impulse, I guess, because I’m counting down the days until the premiere of season 3 of “Downton Abbey”, so this should be interesting (I hope)! Thank you once again, everyone, for an awesome week!

♡ E-ARCs/GALLEYS/ONLINE PUBLISHER READING:

1. “FLCL (Omnibus Edition)” by Gainax – via NetGalley/Dark Horse Comics

2. “The Shapeshifter’s Secret” by Heather Ostler – via NetGalley/Cedar Fort

3. “Dark Companion” by Maria Acosta – via NetGalley/Tor Teen

4. “Redemption” by Veronique Launier – via NetGalley/Flux

5. “Blackwood” by Gwenda Bond – via NetGalley/Curious Quills Press

6. “Shadow of Night (A Discovery of Witches)” by Deborah Harkness – via NetGalley/Random House

7. “Speed of Light (Fenestra #3)” by Amber Kizer – via NetGalley/Viking Adult

8. “Ashen Winter” by Mike Mullin – via NetGalley/Tanglewood Press

I think I’m most excited for “Shadow of Night”, “Dark Companion”, “FLCL”, and “Redemption” the most, as they either looked the most interesting or I’d read the previous books in the series. Still, all of these look great, and I can’t wait to read them all. Thanks to NG and its partners for granting me access this week!
