Stacking the Shelves: Week 43

stackingWe are all book lovers and the need to share our enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles! (Hosted by Tyngasreviews.com!)

Week 43: Here’s what landed on our shelves this week!

USAGI:

♡ Library/Swapped/Gifted/Bought/Etc:

stslib431. “A Midsummer’s Night Scream” by RL Stine – via Macmillan Children’s (Thanks!)

2. “Flicker & Burn (Cold Fury #2)” by TM Goeglein – via Penguin (Thanks!)

3. “Phoenix (Black City #2)” by Elizabeth Richards – via Penguin (Thanks!)

4. “White Lines” by Jennifer Banash – via Penguin (Thanks!)

5. “Mortal Fire” by Elizabeth Knox – via Macmillan Children’s (Thanks!)

6. “Rise (Nightshade Prequel #2)” by Andrea Cremer – via ARC swap (Thanks!)

A great haul this week! I liked “White Lines” quite a bit, and I’m really looking forward to the rest in this pile (though I do need to read “Black City” first)! All of these look really awesome. My thanks to Penguin, Mac Children’s, and my ARC swap partners for sending me stuff this week!  I better get reading!

♡ E-ARCs/GALLEYS/ONLINE PUBLISHER READING/E-BOOKS:

stsearc431. “The Brokenhearted” by Amelia Kaheney – via EW/HarperTeen

2. “The Chaos of Stars” by Kiersten White – via EW/HarperTeen

3. “Not a Drop to Drink” by Mindy McGinnis – via EW/HarperTeen

4. “Vain” by Fisher Amelie – bought

5. “Hopeless” by Colleen Hoover – via EW/S&S

6. “Flirting with Maybe” by Wendy Higgins – bought

Okay, so I’m obviously dipping my toes into the New Adult genre pool with Vain and Hopeless, so here’s hoping they’re as good as everyone says there is. As for “Flirting with Maybe” – I’m not a contemp YA fan, but since “Sweet Evil” wasn’t quite my thing, I’m giving Higgins’ work another chance. Here’s hoping it works more for me this time! My huge thanks to Edelweiss, NG, and all of their pub partners for granting me access this week.

♡ OTHERS:

othersts431. TV Guide – Game of Thrones – House Lannister S3 Edition – bought

I couldn’t help it! I wanted House Stark but couldn’t find it anywhere, and wanted Dany too, but I had to choose. A Lannister always pays his debts~

4. The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White – via Edelweiss/HarperTeen (Thank you!)

5. Transparent by Natalie Whipple – via Edelweiss/HarperTeen (MANY ANGRY FACES AT THIS BOOK, but that’s for another time.) (But anyway, thank you!)
