Guys, I can’t tell you how excited I am about “Destroy Me”, which is on sale today (in e-book format only) from HarperTeen. This book is from Warner’s POV, and will bridge the gap between “Shatter Me” (book 1) and “Unravel Me” (book 2 – review coming soon!). I’ve been waiting for something from his POV, and I’m so glad I’m getting it in novella form. Makes it easier to focus. Here’s the complete blurb from Goodreads:
Perfect for the fans of Shatter Me who are desperately awaiting the release of Unravel Me, this novella-length digital original will bridge the gap between these two novels from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.
In Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Juliette escaped from The Reestablishment by seducing Warner—and then putting a bullet in his shoulder. But as she’ll learn in Destroy Me, Warner is not that easy to get rid of. . .
Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow.
Set after Shatter Me and before its forthcoming sequel, Unravel Me, Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.
Hello, awesome, nice to meet you. I definitely can’t wait to sink my teeth into this beauty!
There’s also “Roar and Liv” by Veronica Rossi, another novella that’s a prequel before “Under the Never Sky”, which I’m pretty excited about. This one chronicles the romance of (you guessed it) Roar and Liv, Perry’s BFF and sister. Here’s the complete synopsis from Goodreads:
Before Perry and Aria, there was Roar and Liv.
After a childhood spent wandering the borderlands, Roar finally feels like he has a home with the Tides. His best friend Perry is like a brother to him, and Perry’s sister, Liv, is the love of his life. But Perry and Liv’s unpredictable older brother, Vale, is the Blood Lord of the Tides, and he has never looked kindly on Roar and Liv’s union. Normally, Roar couldn’t care less about Vale’s opinion. But with food running low and conditions worsening every day, Vale’s leadership is more vital—and more brutal—than ever. Desperate to protect his tribe, Vale makes a decision that will shatter the life Roar knew and change the fate of the Tides forever.
Oh god, I can’t WAIT until this comes out (and until book 2 comes out)! SO excited. This sounds awesome.
Are you guys excited, too? What will are you expecting to happen in both novellas? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
