Teaser Tuesday – Week 76

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

•Grab your current read

•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week’s teaser comes from “The Hallowed Ones” by Laura Bickle:

After the end of the Outside world, the Plain folk survived.

At the time, I didn’t know that the end of the Outside had happened. None of us really did. We know that something was wrong, of course. That knowledge trickled in slowly, like a leak in a roof. The signs accumulated, and then there was no denying the dark stain spreading over the pale ceiling of our world.

What are you reading this Tuesday?

  1. Another blog I follow mentioned this book! I’ve never considered the possibility of an Amish/vampire novel, but now that I know it exists I’m insanely intrigued. From what the other blogger mentioned, this book is pretty graphic with the violence! I work in a bookstore and we tend to stick the Amish novels with the Christian fiction. This one though.. I’m not entirely sure where it would go. I seriously haven’t come across a book like this before.
