Bridge to Books and YA Book Council urgently need your help to secure a screening of Fat Kid Rules the World, directed by Matthew Lillard and based on the 2004 Printz honor book by K.L. Going.
When: Thursday, August 16 at 7:30 pm (tickets must be reserved by 7:30 pm on Friday, August 10)
Where: Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, CA
What: Visit http://tugg.com/events/1090 for the movie synopsis, trailer, and tickets ($10 each)
This show is intended for teens and adults. This film is not rated.
Proceeds from the screening will go to To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
“To Write Love” is an EXCELLENT charity, and I’m glad they chose it. And I adore Matthew Lillard! I hope I’ll be able to go but it depends on me getting transportation there. Still, I encourage EVERYONE to go if they can.
