What is the NetGalley/Edelweiss Knockdown Challenge? Let Bekka explain:
Hi lovelies! I am excited to introduce NetGalley Knock Down! Yesterday I was lurking around looking for people interested in a NetGalley read-a-thon. I sparked a little conversation, and a few people actually are interested! But with the holiday and family vacations coming up in July not everyone is available at the same time. So I got to thinking…
Why not have a whole month dedicated to NetGalley and Edelweiss and all other digital galleys? As a book blogger with a serious book-obtaining problem, I am overloaded with digital galleys to read. I’ve heard many others say the same thing. So voila: NetGalley Knock Down.
NetGalley Knock Down is a very laid back month-long digital copy read-a-thon. We start on July 1st. No pressure: read as much or as little as you’d like. The basic goal is to get as many of those NG review copies read! Easy, right?
Sign ups will remain open until July 14th. And for those who participate I’m hosting a giveaway! One randomly selected participant will win a finished copy of their favorite galley of the month (pre-orders count, too.) To join in, just fill in the Linky and blog/tweet about it!
You can sign up here – but hurry, because you have until July 14th! After that, sign ups are closed.
So, we here at BOANW will be participating! I need to tackle my NG/EW piles like whoa. Getting print galleys from ALA certainly helps (as sometimes, my Mr. Nook gets kinda hard on the eyes), but I’m going to try to get as many titles read/reviewed as much as I possibly can.
Here’s what I’ve read/reviewed so far (or plan to) in July that have sources as NG/EW galleys:
*bold only = books I’ve read but haven’t reviewed yet, or will be reviewing at a later date
