Stacking the Shelves: Week 06

What is Stacking The Shelves all about?

We are all book lovers and the need to share our enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles! (Hosted by Tyngasreviews.com!)

Yay! Thanks so much to my ARC swap partners, HarperTeen, and Tor/Forge/Seven Seas for sending me awesome stuff this week! And thanks to Leigh Bardugo for the awesome party (I recapped it here) and for signing my copy of “Shadow and Bone”. This week was INSANE – the mail fairy totally crash landed in my room, and I spent a good chunk of it out of the house and hanging around with Aurora. But I had a blast this week, craziness and all.

♡ E-ARCs/GALLEYS/ONLINE PUBLISHER READING/E-BOOKS:

1. “The Other Normals” by Ned Vizzini – via Edelweiss/HarperTeen (thanks!)

9. “What’s Left of Me” by Kat Zhang – via Edelweiss/HarperTeen (thanks!)

10. “A Brewing Storm (Nikki Heat/Castle #3.5)” by Richard Castle – bought

I’m a huge “Castle” fan, so I couldn’t help buying this novella that talks about his main character, Derrick Storm. I’m a sucker for it, I know. But my huge thanks to NetGalley, Edelweiss, and their partners this week for granting me access to their galleys – I’m especially excited for “What’s Left of Me”, “The Spindlers”, “Spark”, “The Other Normals”, and “League of Strays”. The rest were kind of random requests as they sounded awesome. And Cameron Jace’s novellas for his upcoming book were free on kindle, so I couldn’t resist!

♡ OTHER:

None this week!

Books I finished and reviewed this week:
“The Glimpse” by Claire Merle
“The Long Earth” by Terry Pratchett & Stephen Baxter

  2. You got to meet Leigh Bardugo and get your book signed?! So jealous!! Not to mention all these other great books that you got – you have a lot of reading ahead of you! Isn’t NetGalley/Edelweiss awesome?! Such a convenient way to get some really great books for review!

  3. Read Shadow and Bone immediately!! It’s so good! One of my favorites of 2012 so far!! It will almost definitely make my end of year list. Some of these others I have but haven’t gotten to yet. And that is the story of my life. Great haul though!! Have a great week. 🙂

  4. Ugh. You always get such awesome books!

I haven’t read them, bt those Hourglass books have absolutely gorgeous covers! Shadow & Bone does too and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about it.

Oh man..Storm. I wasn’t even planning on READING it, yet I did and loved it. Loved it.

The Grimm Diaries?? Where have those been all my life?!

I’ve seen a lot of talk about The Spindlers. It looks ridiculously cute!
