On My Wishlist – Week 56

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. If you want to know more click here.

Week 55: Desperately looking for the following ARCs:    “Black City”, “The Lost Prince”, “Mystic City”,  “Grim”, “Throne of Glass”, and more! Let me know if you’re willing to send me a copy!

Here’s what’s on my wishlist this week:

“Mystic City” by Theo Lawrence

Synopsis: A magical city divided.
A political rebellion ignited.
A love that was meant to last forever.

Aria Rose, youngest scion of one of Mystic City’s two ruling rival families, finds herself betrothed to Thomas Foster, the son of her parents’ sworn enemies. The union of the two will end the generations-long political feud—and unite all those living in the Aeries, the privileged upper reaches of the city, against the banished mystics who dwell below in the Depths.

But Aria doesn’t remember falling in love with Thomas; in fact, she wakes one day with huge gaps in her memory. And she can’t conceive why her parents would have agreed to unite with the Fosters in the first place.

Only when Aria meets Hunter, a gorgeous rebel mystic from the Depths, does she start to have glimmers of recollection—and to understand that he holds the key to unlocking her past. The choices she makes can save or doom the city—including herself.

Why?: Sounds like Romeo and Juliet gone horribly wrong  – and magical cities? Hello, (hopefully) awesome story. I seriously can’t wait for this one – it’s made it onto my most anticipated fall releases list! I just hope it’s as good as it sounds. And that NG or Edelweiss puts it up for request soon!
