On My Wishlist ♡ – Week 27

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. If you want to know more click here.

Week 27: Desperately looking for the following ARCs: “The Carrier of the Mark”, “Shifting”, “Dearly, Departed”, “A Million Suns”, “Shatter Me”, “Fever”, and more! Let me know if you’re willing to send me a copy! If you want to send me a copy of your book for review, email me at usagiko at gmail dot com to let me know.

Here’s what’s on my wishlist this week:

“This Is Not a Test” by Courtney Summers

Summary via goodreads: It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up.

As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, everyone’s motivations to survive begin to change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life–and death–inside.

When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?

Why?: Apocalypse! Zombies! And from an author that usually does contemporary YA, I’m eagerly awaiting seeing how she did on this one. It’s not really that easy to switch genres like that, after all. And this hooks two of my favorite subgenres, so…I’m kind of helpless when thrown a bite of a synopsis like this! Seriously.

What about you? What’s on your wishlist this week?
